◆ the person behind the bag

Hi, I'mAnne.I do your laundry.

I'm not a chain, I'm not a franchise, and I'm not a guy with a website pretending to be a laundry person. I'm an actual neighbour in Brighton — the same one who answers the phone, picks up your bag, washes the load, folds the towels, and brings it back the next day. I've been doing wash and fold since 2022 — first on a route in Belleville, then on my own as Door to Door from Brighton in 2024. I plan to keep doing it.

◆ how we got here

Born from compassion,
built for convenience.

The short version: I spent years volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Toronto, knocked on a thousand doors, and learned what people actually struggle with. Then I moved to Brighton — and saw the same thing. So I started doing something about it.

◆ Toronto · the volunteer years

A thousand doors, one recurring story.

For years I volunteered with Meals on Wheels, delivering food to people who couldn't easily get out — seniors, busy families, folks recovering from surgery, parents juggling two kids and a job. Every house had its own version of the same conversation: "Thank you. I really needed this." The dinner was the excuse; the visit was the gift. And while I was there, I kept noticing the laundry pile. The basket nobody had time for. The sheets that needed changing two days ago. — Anne Medcof

◆ Brighton · 2022 → 2024

Same need. New zip code. So I started.

When I moved out to Brighton I expected a slower pace — and got one — but I also met the same people. Different town, same kitchen tables, same quiet 'I just can't get to it this week.' I cut my teeth from 2022 doing wash and fold on a route over in Belleville, learned the rhythm of what people actually wanted, and in 2024 I launched Door to Door Laundry from my own door in Brighton. Same person, same hands, same flat rate.

◆ what we believe

Neighbours helping
neighbours.

I don't think of you as a customer. I think of you as someone on my route, who I'll see again next week, whose preferences I should remember by the second pickup.

rooted in service
"If you've got laundry, you've got me."

I came up volunteering with Meals on Wheels, knocking on a thousand doors, sitting at a thousand kitchen tables. That's not a marketing line — it's how I actually learned to do this. Show up when you say you will. Treat people's stuff like it's your own. Be the same person every week.

  • Community-centred care

We treat every customer like family.

My volunteer roots aren't a tagline — they're the operating manual. If you want scent-free, we remember. If you're recovering from surgery, we'll leave the bag by the door. If your week falls apart, we'll come back tomorrow.

  • Doorstep convenience

Free pickup and delivery, anywhere in the 40 km zone.

Brighton, Trenton, Quinte West, Belleville, Colborne, Cobourg, Frankford, Stirling — we come to you. No mileage games inside the zone. A small add-on outside it, always quoted up front.

  • Flexible solutions

Plans for individuals, families, and businesses.

One bag a week or a clinic's worth every Tuesday — same flat per-bag rate, same local hands. If you run a clinic, salon, gym, restaurant, or Airbnb, the commercial side is already built for you.

◆ where we go

Brighton &
roughly 40 km
in every direction.

We grew up around here. If your front door is within roughly forty minutes of Brighton — anywhere from Belleville to Cobourg, and most stops in between — we can probably make it work. A touch further? Ask us, we're not strict about it.
